GROUPS

Groups gather us in relationship around God’s Word in relaxed settings.  Groups launch in Sept and January as new friends circle up across generations, interests, & spiritual starting points.  Topics change each semester and Groups last 8 months, including one 'Project Serve'.   Groups are ideal soil for soul growth !!

MEN'S BIBLE STUDY

Every other Weds Night | 6:30-8PM
Throughout our lives, we are sure to experience highs and lows. So, how do we remain content with whatever life throws our way? In The Book of Philippians, pastor and author Joby Martin will demonstrate that being with Jesus and belonging to his church fuels our joy and contentment in any situation.

Learn to dig in the Word and support brothers walking thru it just like you. God has a better plan for you, a plan for victory as you keep your eyes on Him! Hang time, food, + video all together then breakout into Groups. *During Awana, the kids club for 3yrs-6th grade.

WOMEN'S BIBLE  STUDies

3 Groups - Every other WEDS or THURS | 6:30 – 8PM
*Weds night groups are during Awana for kids 3yrs-6th grade.
(WEDS) Kristen Perkins Group - In Christ Alone: A Study on the Book of Romans is a study of our need, the work of Christ, righteousness as a gift and how to grow in grace.

(WEDS) Lynne Baker's Group - Stuck by Jennie Allen is a journey to take an honest look at the fight going on inside, leading us to the God who has a plan to restore it, to restore us!

(THURS) Lisa Lupini’s Group – Heaven by Jennifer Rothschild will inspire us beyond legend, movie scenes, and hopeful guesses. Don’t be fearful or fuzzy but gain eternal perspective -- one day “faith becomes sight!”

Halliwill HOME  Group

Every other Thurs | 6:30-8PM
Study will start with a presentation by John Jane the first week and then at least one week of THE CHOSEN. Will continue depending on the groups response. Starts Oct 1!!! Led by Gary Pruden & Rotating.

Harns  Group

3rd Fri of every month | 5:30PM
Studying from the J Vernon McGee Commentaries. This Fall the group will be using the Matthew Commentary, Chapters 14-28. They try to cover 4 chapters from the book each month. All are welcome! Led by Jeff & Judy Harns. Meet in the Believers RM. Starts on 9/18 at 5:30pm.

SMART STEP FAMILIES

1st Thurs of every month | 6:30PM
When stepfamily life gets tough, remaining committed becomes a day-to-day decision. In The Smart Stepfamily, leading expert Ron L. Deal reveals seven fundamental steps to blended family success and offers practical, realistic solutions to the everyday challenges stepfamilies face.

Meetings begin on October 8, 6:30-8 pm. After the first meeting, meetings will take place on the first Thursday of every month from 6:30-8 pm.

Anchor room at FBC, led by Craig & Teresa Ellis. Themed Dinners /  Kid Care in gym!

LADIES  TUES AM  STUDY

1st & 3rd Tuesday Mornings | 10AM
Studying "Twelve Woman of the Bible: Life Changing Stories" utilizing short videos, Bible readings and discussion as well as various workbooks, when appropriate.  Ladies are encouraged to examine what they personally see in the woman studied on a given Tuesday, as well as how they think that woman's life and actions, as described in the Bible, provide either instruction or examples from God still valuable for us today.

This Bible Study meets in the Timothy Room from 10:00AM till approximately noon. Refreshments are provided by the ladies on a volunteer basis. Group goes from the middle of Sept. to the middle of June.

The book of Zechariah includes powerful prophecy that focuses on restoration, the coming of the Good Shepherd & Messiah, and the ultimate triumph of God’s Kingdom. This group dives deep in a verse by verse study led by John Geisler.

This powerful support group begins October 6th with Christian counselors, daily helps, video testimonies, & deep care together. Led by Denise & Jim Droscha in the Believers Rm.

LADIES  Bible STUDY

Wednesday Mornings | 10AM
 Ready to Study the Letters of John (1st, 2nd, & 3rd John) and learn what it means to "Abide" in Christ.  Any woman of any age is welcome. Wednesdays beginning September 16.

These women care richly, study deeply, and pray faithfully. Meet in the Timothy Room at church. Joy Black Leads.

MUNSON GROUP

2nd & 4th Wednesdays | 6:30PM
Who is Jesus of Nazareth, and what does he ask of us? For help answering these questions, we can turn to Luke’s orderly account of Jesus’s life and ministry—the Gospel of Luke. Led by Jane Munson. Starts Sept. 23 in the Believers Room. Great interaction in this seasoned Group.

Care Group

1st & 3rd Thursdays | 6:30pm
Wrestle with depression, anxiety, loneliness, resentment, feelings of inadequacy, spiritual walls, a hard past, patterns to change?  Someone who’s been there has been praying for you. God gives us His Truth, Himself, and each other to overcome what can discourage or destroy. Sessions will center on “Changes That Heal by Dr. Henry Cloud" + sharing + prayer time. LED BY JIM & MARY BETH PINKEL!
 
God has promised that the 'good work' he began in us, He will carry 'on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus' (Phil. 1:6).

Starts Thursday, September 17th at 6:30pm in the gathering room.

Weds Prayer Group

6-8pm each week in September (starting 9/9); then going to every other week in October (10/14, 10/28, 11/11, 12/9, 12/30).
