First Baptist Church of
Charlotte, Michigan is a congregation of over 500 people, located in a mid
Michigan county seat community of 8500 people. FBC draws from a five to ten mile radius of an area which
consists of approximately 16,000 residents. The town, which largely consists of one family dwellings is built
on conservative values but progressive attitudes. Individuals within the community and church are employed through
a number of different businesses, agencies and industries. Some of the larger employers of church friends include General
Motors, Michigan State University, the State of Michigan, Spartan
Motors, county
government and several large hospitals.
In recent years, First Baptist has experienced solid continued growth.
The makeup of the congregation is divided among the three major age
groupings of younger, middle aged and older adults with programs designed to
meet the needs of each age group.
Theologically, the church is conservative but open. While emphasizing the
basic elements of the Christian faith, we consciously seek unity in key Biblical
essentials while affirming diversity on other theological matters not considered
essential to our faith.

First Baptist is governed by the
members of its congregation. It’s our way of saying, every person’s
voice counts!
The congregation meets four times a
year to vote on matters which need congregational approval or
action. The Sr. Pastor and Staff give direction to the day to day
operations and ministries of the church with the oversight of the
ten member Church Board. |
The financial condition of FBC is solid.
Approximately 25% of the church’s annual operating budget is designated for
causes beyond the local church ministry.
If you’re looking for a church
